COVID (Coronavirus Disease) fully Update

Corona virus-19 is the infectious disease caused by the latest discovered coronavirus SARS-CoV-2nese scientists soon identified a novel coronavirus as the main causative agent. In present, the disease referred to as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The causative virus is called a severe acute respiratory syndrome. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Chie coronavirus 2. It is a new strain of coronavirus that has not been previously identified in humans.

Arrival:

The disease originated from Wuhan city in central China. On December 5, the first Chinese authorities alerted the World Health Organization to the outbreak of a pneumonia-like disease in the city. The first one died on January 5.

At first, the epidemic seemed to link in the South China Seafood City market. This market hosts merchants for seafood, poultry, bats, marmots, and other wild animals. The infection has reported in people who have visited a city market. The wildlife was illegally traded in that market. And this indicates a probable animal origin of this virus.

Some marine animals such as the beluga whale can carry the coronavirus. But chicken, bats, rabbits, and snakes were sold in that market.
From the animal itself, the virus first enters a human body and then spreads from person to person. In the case of the SARS virus, there is a record of entering the human body first from the bats and then from the sulfur. And the mars virus spread from camels.

Some marine animals such as the beluga whale can carry the coronavirus. But chicken, bats, rabbits, and snakes were sold in that market.

Especially, the coronavirus causes many infections in animals. Very early, these virus outbreaks and pathogens are spreading across Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa, and the United States.

Way of spreading:

The pandemic is the increasing and sustaining propagation of an extraordinary infectious human disease that rapidly affects all parts of the world and a large part of the global population. The coronavirus poison transmitted by people carrying the virus.

The disease can spread from person to person through respiratory droplets expelled from the nose or mouth when a person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can persist for some time on objects or surfaces around the person in question. An infection with COVID-19 can occur if you touch these objects or surfaces and then touch your eyes, nose or mouth.

This virus can also contract by inhaling droplets from a sick person who has just coughed or sneezed.  The virus can also survive for several hours on surfaces such as tables and door handles. It is currently estimated that, on average, one infected person will infect between two and three more.

Signs of it:

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause symptoms ranging from the common cold to more serious illnesses. The incubation period for this virus is currently estimated at between two and 14 days. At this stage, we know that the virus can be transmitted when people who are infected show flu-like symptoms such as coughing.

Early warning signs:

(a) fever

(b) cough

(c) difficulty breathing

(d) muscle pain

(e) tiredness

Emergency warning signs:

1.Trouble breathing

  1. Persistent pain or pressure in the chest

  2. New confusion or inability to arouse

  3. Bluish lips or face

Treatment for coronavirus:

There are currently no vaccines against the human coronavirus, including the virus that causes COVID-19. This is why it is very important to prevent infection and to contain further spread of the virus. However, several pharmaceutical companies are working on vaccine candidates. Generally speaking, if you have a fever, it recommends to rely on paracetamol. However, if you are currently undergoing an ibuprofen treatment, do not cease the treatment without prior consultation of your physician. Since 12 March, the government has moved to a strategy of reinforcing the protection of vulnerable populations. This strategy implies that efforts focus on preventing the transmission of the infection to these people rather than on identifying any cases of that in the general population.

Impact on Women and Children:

There is a limit of scientific evidence on the severity of illness in pregnant women after COVID-19 infection. That said, current evidence suggests that the severity of illness among pregnant women after COVID-19 infection is similar to that in non-pregnant adult COVID-19 cases, and no data suggests infection with COVID-19 during pregnancy harms the fetus. At present, there is no evidence of transmission of COVID-19 from mother to baby occurring during pregnancy. Disease in children appears to be relatively rare and mild. A large study from China suggested that just over 2% of cases were under 18 years of age. Of these, fewer than 3% developed severe or critical diseases.

Comparison between the Coronavirus and the seasonal flu:

The horrible coronavirus detected in China is genetically closely related to the SARS-CoV-1 virus. SARS emerged at the end of 2002 in China, and it caused more than 8 000 cases in 33 countries over eight months. Around one in ten of the people who developed SARS died. The current corona virus-19 outbreak caused around 7 000 reported cases in China during the first month after initial reports (January 2020), with a further 80 000 cases reported globally during the second month (February 2020). Of these first 87 000 cases, about 3 000 died. Cases are detecting in Europe and across the globe. While the viruses that cause both COVID-19 and seasonal influenza can transmit from one person to others and may cause similar symptoms. These two viruses are very different and do not behave in the same way.

COVID

ECDC estimates that between 15 000 and 75 000 people die prematurely due to causes associated with seasonal influenza each year in the EU, the UK, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. This is approximately 1 in every 1 000 people who are infecting badly. By comparison, the current estimated mortality rate for COVID-19 is 20-30 per 1 000 people. Despite the relatively low mortality rate for seasonal influenza, many people die from the disease due to the large number of people who contract it each year. The concern about COVID-19 is that, unlike influenza, there is no vaccine and no specific treatment for the disease. It also appears to be as transmissible as influenza if not more so.

Ways to avoid infection:

The only way to avoid the infection is to refuse contact with those who already infect or carrying the virus.

The virus enters your body via your eyes, nose and/or mouth, so it is important to avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.

From the University of Hong Kong, Dr. Gabriel Leung said in a health guide, hands should always be clean and hands should be washed repeatedly. Nose or mouth can not rub with hands, you must wear a mask when you go out of the room.

Washing of hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or cleaning hands with alcohol-based solutions, gels or tissues recommend in all settings. It also recommends staying 1 meter or more away from people infected with COVID-19 who are showing symptoms, to reduce the risk of infection.

Steps for foreigners:

Travelers returning from areas of local or community transmission should monitor their health for 14 days. People with symptoms should contact their healthcare specialists via telephone first, and indicate their exposure and travel history before seeking medical attention in person. Symptomatic people should avoid contact with others until they have received advice from a healthcare specialist.

Responsibility as a public:

Leaving your home should be limited to the following activities:

  1. purchase of food, pharmaceuticals, and necessities,

  2. .purchase of agricultural, horticultural and forestry products,

  3. going to health services,

  4. going to the place of work for the exercise of the professional activity,

  5. assistance and care for the elderly, minors, dependent people, disabled people or particularly vulnerable people,

  6. going to social security services in case of an emergency,

  7. going to financial and insurance institutes, as well as postal services, in the event of an emergency,

In the case of a situation of necessity: Limited to people living together, excluding gatherings and under the condition that an interpersonal distance of two meters is respected.

What steps is Bangladesh taking?

Like many other countries, Bangladesh has taken various steps to prevent the spread of coronavirus among people.

The government declared a public holiday in all public-private institutions from March 25 to April 1. At that time, all the markets in the country closed except the drugstore and urgent needle shop.

Local administration and law enforcement agencies are on the road to ensure that people stay in their homes. They also take proper steps to avoid public meetings during this holiday.

On April 1st, it reported that the army would involve in assisting law enforcement in ensuring social distance.

Earlier, all educational institutions in the country declared closed and banned for passengers from all countries of Europe except England. Aviation has suspended with many other countries.

The Department of Pathology, Disease Control, and Research have requested by the government to allow foreign travelers to follow the rules of home quarantine, self-quarantine or isolation.

Conclusion:

The world economy is suddenly stagnating. The entertainment world or educational institution has closed. The communication system is the break. Only the Internet has become the main means of communication. It will tell in time how long or how long the disaster will last. But right now, everyone has to come forward with one yoga. This coming forward means creating awareness among ourselves. In order not to become a carrier of this virus, the importance of avoiding public gatherings, house arrest and keeping clean. It is important to come under medical attention quickly if you infect.
